About Us
Our mission is to aid in the development of social, political, economic, and legal consciousness and power around past and current social movements within the United States.
Vehicles For Change
Changing the world is possible. We’ve done it before.
Social power is our collective ability to influence social perceptions, behaviors, and actions. Creating content, building platforms, protesting, mobilizing, amplifying voices, and coming together to build community are all ways to exercise our social power.
Ready to take the next step?
It is crucial to amplify awareness and political consciousness around our movements and the issues they tackle. Political power is utilized by exercising our right to vote and leveraging our voting power to hold the people we vote into office accountable for the legislature they introduce, bills they sponsor, and their past and current voting records.
We, the people, have the power!
With the development of social and political power, our communities can now leverage local, state, and federal budgets that reflect the people’s consensus and not the major corporations that lobby our representatives. Economic power looks like allocating budgets to the needs of ALL people, community-owned banks, community land trusts, equitable lending practices, investments in local businesses and community organizations, and bridging the gap within income inequality.
Let Us Use The Law To Reclaim Our Power!
Legal power is the ability to influence, shape, and enforce laws and regulations governing society. This power is exercised through the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government, and it affects all aspects of life, including civil rights, economic policies, and social justice
"Never look down or belittle the different ways in which community members and allies practice peaceful activism or protest. We need many tools on our belt if we ever wish to achieve equity and liberation. From marches to die-ins, petitioning, land banking, communtiy farming, phone banking, door knocking, digital sharing, voting, singing, and dancing. We must operate in all these spaces and amplify community voices and action so that we may all push our collective work forward." -Tendaji Ya’Ukuu, Founder

“Power in defense of freedom is greater than power in behalf of tyranny and oppression, because power, real power, comes from our conviction which produces action, uncompromising action.”
